Announcing My New Author Page

You know how sometimes you keep wearing the same old blue work shirt, your favorite wrinkled and threadbare pants, the ones that you bought when you cared more about fashion? It’s easy to just grab ’em and tug the waistband a bit this way and that to fit other things that might be changing. And I know you know what I mean. [Wink.]

Well, sometimes those comfortable clothes mirror actions in other parts of our lives. Take this blog for example. I mean, after nine years, some parts of me have grown larger, and various things don’t fit quite as well under the umbrella of food writing. What I want to say is that there’s more to ponder in life than food, more than cooking, more than the history of all those astonishing ingredients lined up at the local farmers market or that superb grocery store (they even carry harissa now, who knew!?).

It’s called simply “Cynthia D. Bertelsen: Weaving a Web of Words.”

I’d like to invite you to take a look. Tell me what you think, what you like. And what you don’t like.

  1. Hi Debi,

I just included the old blog under BLOGS on the menu – I might eventually figure out how to make a sub-menu to make it more noticeable. Readers can still go to the G&T site,m no problem. Thanks for commenting. Hope this helps.

  2. I do know what you mean! I’ve been contemplating such a move, too. You start out writing about one thing, then other things come along – live evolves. The only reason I haven’t done this is the uncertainty in what happens to the archived old blog. I would still like access to it. How are you handling the move and how will your followers seamlessly follow you? Or, do you simply start from scratch?
