Note: for the next two weeks, I’m working on a couple of intensive writing projects, so “Gherkins & Tomatoes” will of necessity be brief, with a look at “Saints, Souls, and Haints” in honor of the ancient traditions of Halloween, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day. “Haints” comes from a slang term used for “ghost” in the American South.

    How do you get the yolk green–is it food coloring? I am going to make these for my daughter–she will flip over these! Good luck with your writing projects.

    Hi Tracy,

    Just click on the photo and underneath the photo you’ll find the recipe. Let me know if you still have problems and I will rewrite the recipe and post it, linking it to the photographer’s Flickr page.
